Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli meet up with Gandalf in Fangorn
Aragorn finds evidence that the hobbits survived the Rohhirim killing the Orcs, so he enters Fangorn with Gimli and Legolas. In Fangorn they find Gandalf at the spot Merry and Pippin met Treebeard. Gandalf tells them the hobbits are now with Treebeard, and relates his own story regarding the battle with the Balrog, and his journey since. Shadowfax, Hasufel, and Arod return to bear Gandolf, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli to Théoden
