After seeing an Eagle over their camp they wait until full dark to continue their journey down the Anduin towards Rauros. Just before midnight they reach rapids and are forced to stop. As they try to reach the shore they are attacked by a group of orcs. After they reach the shore a Nazgul flies overhead, but Legolas shoots it down. Sam learns they spent nearly a month in Lothlorien.
