In a flashback to high school, we see Scott date Kim P. (the drummer in his current band) before he moves to Toronto. She now lives in Toronto, but we don't know how or when she got there.

Scott finally breaks up with his 17 yr. old girlfriend Knives. She doesn't handle it well, however, and begins to obsess over him. Meanwhile, Scott is asked by his ex-girlfriend to play a show, opening for her band. He is nervous about this because broke his heart.

Scott must also fight the second of Ramona's evil ex-boyfriends. This one is a movie start, and a sell-out, so when he beats Scott up, he agrees to lie about it for a small bribe. He also hints that Gideon is the leader of the league of evil ex-boyfriends. Scott also learns that Ramona cheated on him and that's why they broke up.

Before the show Knives, dressed as a ninja, attacks Ramona in a library. Ramona is there with Scott's sister. Ramona is able to fight her off.

The book ends during the show when we discover the bass player (and now boyfriend) of Scott's ex-girlfriend's band is Ramona's third evil ex-boyfriend.
